Fees, Payments and Settlements - OCBC Fund Transfer

  • Fund transfers using your OCBC bank account are now available on iOCBC

You can easily make instant transfers from and to your OCBC Securities trading account in up to 11 different currencies once you link it with your OCBC bank account.

Plus, enjoy the benefit of no fees or charges for transferring funds between your OCBC Securities trading account and your OCBC bank account.
  • How can I perform a fund transfer between my OCBC bank account and my OCBC Securities trading account?

The OCBC Fund Transfer feature allows customers who hold an OCBC Securities trading account and an OCBC bank account to perform seamless fund deposits and withdrawals between them. Both accounts must be in the name of the customer, and the customer must have (a) an active iOCBC OneToken and (b) an active OCBC OneToken or OCBC hardware token, in order to perform a one-time secured linkage between both accounts. Linkage can be done either through the iOCBC Mobile Trading or iOCBC Online Trading Platform.

Fund transfers can also be made between a customer’s OCBC Securities trading account and OCBC joint bank account, provided that the OCBC joint bank account is accessible through the OCBC app or OCBC Internet Banking.
  • Is this fund transfer capability available for everyone?

This feature is available to all customers who hold an OCBC Securities trading account and an OCBC bank account. You can link your OCBC Securities trading account with your OCBC bank account either through the iOCBC Mobile Trading or iOCBC Online Trading Platform. However, this feature is not applicable to corporate accounts.
  • Am I required to set up my iOCBC OneToken to perform a fund transfer?

Yes, you are required to set up your iOCBC OneToken to perform a fund transfer. This provides an additional layer of security encryption to protect you and your OCBC Securities trading account against fraud.
  • Can I revoke the linkage between my OCBC Securities trading account and my OCBC bank account?

Yes, you can. Simply log in to iOCBC Mobile/Online Trading, go to Menu > Deposit > Manage OCBC Transfer and select the option to remove all account linkages.
  • Will linking my OCBC Securities trading account with my OCBC bank account affect my existing settlement arrangement, such as GIRO?

No, linking your OCBC bank account will not affect or replace your existing settlement arrangement.
  • What are the transaction limits after linking my accounts?

There are no limits on fund deposits or withdrawals once your accounts are linked.
  • Can I perform a foreign exchange (FX) conversion on iOCBC?

Currently, iOCBC does not support currency conversion. You may perform your FX conversions using the OCBC app or OCBC Internet Banking.
  • I’m having issues withdrawing the full amount shown on my trust ledger balance. Why do I see a difference between the full amount shown on my trust ledger balance and the amount I can withdraw?

The available amount for withdrawal is determined by your cash balance in your trust ledger, which takes into account your outstanding settlement, fees and charges* such as:

    - Outstanding contra losses and/or buy trade(s),
    - Outstanding fees and charges,
    - Manual fund deposits that have been earmarked, and such.

*Please note that all amounts shown in your trust ledger balance are subject to exchange rate conversion, which is applicable to all currencies.
  • I wish to transfer foreign currencies to my OCBC Securities trading account on iOCBC. How can I do it?

This can be done by linking your OCBC Securities trading account with an OCBC Global Savings Account, which allows you to hold and transact in up to 10 major currencies covering the key markets available for trading on iOCBC – AUD, CAD, CHF, CNH, EUR, GBP, HKD, JPY, NZD, and USD. For OCBC bank accounts that support Singapore Dollars (SGD) only, you may perform fund transfers for SGD only.
